Designed by Bates Smart, the hotel consists of 264 guest rooms, built on a 9-storey heritage federation free style warehouse known as ‘Tyne House Basement comprising of kitchen and back-of-house staff facilities. Heritage façade was retained to level 10, with 9 new floors added. The site is a consolidation of two separate sites, including the retention of a 9 storey Federation. Archaeologist works took place prior to demolition to carefully remove any artefacts.
